Thomas was born in Lower Saxony, Germany. He established himself as a fashion photographer in 1985, opening up his first studio in Milan, Italy.

In the late 80‘s he moved to Paris, where he photographed for a wide variety of European fashion magazines and advertising agencies. After several years in Paris, and stations in Spain and the U.S.A., he set up his base in Hamburg, Germany.

From there he frequently travelled to Locations in the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean to shoot his assignment work, and to pursue his personal artistic work, capturing everything that fascinates him, from streetlife to portraits, sports, dance & music, nudes, landscapes and stillifes.
